Everybody Needs A Job

The Snoopervisor

The Snoopervisor

Dear Mr. Pants:

I hear my humans talking a lot about jobs lately. So I am ready to start one. Sure I know there are some really impressive jobs out there for dogs such as a service or therapy dog, but I know there are things that I can do around my house. For example, I can work security and scare away any intruders like that guy that brings packages. Or I can keep their yard free from squirrels. Can you let your readers know that we pets want to be helpful in our homes too? Give us a job - we are up to the task!

Protecting the Property or Just Snooping?

Dear Wants:

You have a very good point. Everyone in the household benefits from having a job, including us pets. And each of us has our own special talents that we should be commended for on a daily basis. That job can be as simple as making sure the sofa stays in its place by laying on it, to being the water inspector, watching those drips come out of the faucet. Maybe that job is making your human smile everyday or creating a calming atmosphere as you swim by in your aquarium.

Let us work for you! Oh and here is a tip - we especially like titles. For example, for years my humans have called me “The Snoopervisor”. Sounds impressive doesn’t it? I like it and it makes me feel important. And I take my job very seriously - nothing happens in the house without me knowing about it.

So humans - get creative! Give us a job that will make us feel important - even if that title is “Love Bug”.

Mr. Smart T. Pants
