Water Water Everywhere
Dear Mr. Pants:
I have a problem. Unlike most cats, I love the water. More specifically I like watching and drinking from the water coming out of the faucet. In fact recently I learned how to turn the faucet on by myself! But how can I make my human understand that while I like watching the small drips coming from the sink, I DO NOT want to take a bath!
Wanting to Stay Dry in DC
Dear Wanting:
After speaking with several of my feline friends, I have learned that cats in general are not fond of getting wet. They may like to play with water in their drinking bowls or with the drips from the faucet or even enjoy the cool feeling of a sink on a hot day, but they do not like to be bathed or even drenched in the rain. Who could blame them? Who would want all that beautiful fur to get wet?
Now in your case you have done the smart thing by learning to turn the faucet on all by yourself. No need to get the human even involved. So if I were you I would continue to enjoy those delicious drips, without the human intervention. And if you start to hear the sounds of a lot of water running in the bathtub, sink or shower - HIDE!
Stay Dry,
Mr. Smart T. Pants
